If you haven't heard by now, Burma was hit by a cyclone last Friday which did massive damage. Well over 22,000 known dead, almost 50,000 missing and a million homeless. The death rate is expected to climb to as high as 50,000.

Burma (renamed by the military government to Myanmar) has a total area of 678,500 square kilometers (261,970 sq mi), is the largest country in mainland Southeast Asia, and the 40th-largest in the world, (after Zambia). It is somewhat smaller than the US state of Texas and slightly larger than Afghanistan.

It has had such massive rice production capability, that it can not only feed it's 43 million people, but it exports over 450 million tons of rice yearly.

Not now though. Burma's total rice crop has been pretty much destroyed by this cyclone. They will be starving and all rice producing nations will be expected to help. The rub is, those nations are also experiencing rice shortages and have stopped exporting rice as they need it for their own people.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you thought there was a food shortage last week, it has now doubled and there's another 43,000,000 hungry people that our Corporate Representatives (Government) will be happy to ship food to, out of the "goodness of their hearts" (in truth - out of the money grubbing fact that they're charging 4 times the going rate for rice).

Listen - don't listen, it's all up to you. STOCK FOOD NOW before you literally can't. Unless you've ever been hungry, I mean HUNGRY, not "oops - I forgot to eat lunch": I mean no food for days at a time - you have no idea what it's like.

The burning in your gut - the headaches, nausea and taste of bile in your mouth when your stomach starts eating you: the loss of morals, ethics and empathy you'll exhibit. You'll do ANYTHING to stay alive.

Do you really want to have that experience? Trust me - you do NOT want to go there. For those of you who don't know where to start, go here and read my post - at least it'll get you started.

Butter is coming in early next week, but I was allocated only one pallet this batch. I'm told there's another load coming next month. Half of this one pallet is already spoken for, so if you want any, get your orders in ASAP. I will update the website so you can start ordering butter on-line tonight again.

Mountain House is having difficulty getting some ingredients and have told us that some of their long-time favorites might be discontinued for the foreseeable future. What they are will be announced later if, and when, that happens.

As you've been told before, Mountain House is having a hard time keeping up with the governments orders, so are cutting back on civilian deliveries. We saw this coming so have an almost full warehouse of their foods (at least, for now). We're aren't like all the other storage food merchants on the net: we HAVE food in stock for quick shipment to you.

We received two pallets (each) of the Yoder's Beef, Chicken and Turkey this week, along with nearly 10 pallets of MH foods (both #10 cans and the 20 oz foil pouches).

The Armchair Survivalist radio show is really doing well. Just to let everyone know: this ain't a "money making" proposition. I pay over $1,500 to do my broadcast each month. We get a few orders from people listening, but that's not my point: I really feel that if I can help a few people get off their butts and pay attention to what's really happening (and prepare), then there's that many more people who will survive when the SHTF.

I'm probably going to put up a "donate" button on the site, sooner or later. If I wasn't so damn busy, I already would have!
